"The planet is in our hands"

On the road to the instrument of tomorrow...

The planet is in danger...
Massive deforestation is "one" of the aggravating factors... everyone knows it!
So let's take a common path, as virtuously as possible, towards real change, lasting change, solid change, constructive change...

A project in the service of ecology

This brand new "KAP" electro-acoustic guitar, unique in the world both in its original composition and in its positioning, was born of this ambition: "The fruit of a carefully thought-out collaboration between a French brand, PRODIPE, whose sole brief is excellence at the best price, and a renowned French luthier, Fred KOPO, with thirty years' experience...

Anticipating tomorrow's world together...

As we all know, we bear a heavy responsibility for the world of tomorrow... So let's work together to anticipate it as best as we can, each within our own means, through acts that are worthy, virtuous and as noble as possible...

I collaborated on the design of this guitar because the joint 'guitars of tomorrow' project between Prodipe and Fred Kopo spoke volumes to me. I liked Kopo's work, particularly with regard to the hearing in the shoulder of his guitars. I like the proximity effect and the live projection of the sound, combined with the 'boomy' effect of the bass while being extremely balanced, which I find in my signature model. I wanted the neck to be very easy to play, almost like an electric guitar. And finally, for the electro version: an easy-to-use set-up, with three sensors, one under the saddle and two under the soundboard, for a really nice body effect. Thanks to the Prodipe AP22 system developed by Ludovic Lanen, you can achieve all the types of sound that an acoustic guitarist can expect, and all very easily.

An "Bio Sourced" guitar entirely "Made in France"!

Our challenge? To come up with a new, high-quality electro-acoustic model, while reducing the ecological impact, and in particular the use of wood for the soundboard.

This 'KAP' guitar is the result of an intelligent and virtuous partnership between PRODIPE, a dynamic French brand whose mission is to always seek excellence at the best price by bringing together the best talents on a single project, and Fred KOPO, an experienced and creative luthier.

An original, eco-friendly guitar from our Rennes workshops

For over thirty years, Fred Kopo has been innovating and working with new materials.

The result of its development around flax fibre, the hull of the KAP was developed in close collaboration with Prodipe and our plastics processing partner.

This new material, made from bioplastics fibre-reinforced with invasive algae from northern Europe, has the enormous advantage of providing exceptional acoustic colour.

The new Electro AP22 system

Simple and effective: one volume, one tone and one blend... Ultra-high-performance, for all the woody colours of the body and an extremely natural sound.

A totally new result, unique in the world, at a very affordable price...

When I discovered 'Prodipe', this superb brand with a totally different positioning, innovative and 'apart' in today's guitar market, I quickly realised that, although our paths were different, we shared the same conception of today's musical instrument: a balance between tradition and innovation, simplicity and relevance! A few professionals or passionate amateurs can afford to buy one of my instruments, but for the general public, this is naturally impossible. Today, PRODIPE gives me the opportunity to make my work accessible to as many people as possible, and I fully subscribe to this philosophy...

More details

The new, ultra-high-performance Elecro AP22 system!

  • The AP22 system has been developed by the Prodipe team to bring out the full colour of your electro-acoustic guitar.

Composed of 3 cells, a braided piezo under the bridge saddle, to obtain a clean, precise sound without being cold and dry, combined with two cells under the soundboard which are used to refine and enrich the piezo, to recover the air and woody sound of the body.

A sublime design.

With a compact body and shortened fork, the shape and dimensions are taken from the highly acclaimed "Dublin" model designed by French luthier Fred Kopo.

maximum playing comfort for uncompromising sound.

Although the body is moulded, it is not round, so it respects the angles of a traditional guitar, making it easy to play both sitting and standing.

A screw-in neck with no effect on sound or reliability,

In designing this unique model, we chose to optimise the assembly time in order to obtain a guitar that is 'made in France', but at a price that is nevertheless accessible to as many people as possible. A special neck has been designed, engineered and tested to ensure the best possible screw-in process with no impact on sound or reliability.

A composite for a "wood" footprint without "wood"!

The result of two years of acoustic and plastics research, we've opted for a combination of 30% recycled polypropylene, 60% bio-plastic (derived from recycled vegetable oil) and 10% algae for the fibre...

A successful bet! Now it's your turn to try...
