"The timbre and sound of your cello..."

Highly faithful response, exemplary natural sound, quick and easy installation

Developed under the direction of Ludovic Lanen with the help of the great cellist Jean-Philippe Audin, the CL21 is specially designed for cello recording and sound reinforcement.

Equipped with a remarkably fine electret cell, the CL21 microphone will capture all the dynamics and nuances of your playing.

Supplied with a clamp to hold the microphone firmly in place on your instrument and with a mini-XLR/XLR adapter (48V phantom power required for wired use).

Jean-Philippe Audin

Cellist

"The CL21 Prodipe is a fantastic, easy-to-use solution that allows me to quickly find my settings, whatever the situation, and so enjoy remarkable playing comfort .Once you've acquired a cello that's sometimes several hundred years old, and made its sound your own, you need to find THE system that can reproduce the full range of timbres in all circumstances, offer a homogenous sound over more than 4 octaves... with complete confidence, safely attach the microphone to a fragile and precious cello, support a wide variety of dynamics, and let inspiration do the rest.

After years tied to a chair, frustrated by the limits of the possibilities for staging, at a time when music can no longer do without it, the UHF B210 DSP Solo system Prodipe coupled with the CL21 microphone has changed my life: mobility is finally here. Withmy cello slung over my shoulder, I can finally walk across the stage and express my music in a different way, in harmony with my fellow musicians.

I'm committed to Prodipe and I'm delighted to be taking part in this adventure to offer all cellists an exceptional microphone for their instrument

An electret cell capable of handling 140dB

In a microphone, the part that cannot suffer from any mediocrity is the cell. Prodipe has developed, in France, an exceptionally fine electret cell that will capture all the dynamics and nuances of your playing.

Its great linearity will perfectly respect the timbre and sonority of your cello.

Can also be used in a UHF version: connect to the Prodipe UHF DSP B210 Solo or UHF DSP B210 Duo systems (specially adapted to the impedance of the 21 Lanen cell).

Clément Petit

Cellist

"I discovered the Prodipe CL21 with a great deal of curiosity, being a user of other microphones dedicated to the cello but which were worth 4 times that price... I started by plugging it directly into my sound card without any fuss. As I tried to find the right position for the microphone, I quickly arrived at a perfectly balanced sound and, thanks to the low cut built into the adaptor, one that was completely accurate in the low frequencies and not at all 'slobbery'. Whether in the studio or on stage, the CL21 delivers, and all I can say is that at this price it's simply amazing

Particular attention has been paid to securing the microphone to the instrument

This flexible clamp, which is clever and easy to fit between the tailpiece and bridge, allows you to position the CL21 pickup very close to the soundboard for a warm, woody sound that's perfect for bowing, but also above the strings for a precise sound that's perfect for pizzicato playing.

Ideal insulation, without damaging or scratching your instrument.

The 'research and development' was carried out in France, in active collaboration with the indispensable French sound engineer Ludovic Lanen

"In developing the cell, we drew inspiration from the best in the field, and worked in constant comparison with DPA microphones. This microphone is offered at an affordable price... Once again, don't be fooled by the price: we're pursuing our objective of making professional quality accessible to everyone. With this new range, Prodipe continues to make its mark on professional audio."
