Dynamism Nuances Linearity

"A Cell that can take it..."

Highly faithful response, exemplary natural sound

Developed under the direction of Ludovic Lanen with the help of the talented saxophonist Patrick Bourgoin, the SB21 is designed for all brass instruments (alto saxophone, tenor saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, horn...) as well as percussion, and will capture all the dynamics and nuances of your playing. The high level of linearity perfectly matches the timbre and sound of your instrument.

Supplied with an ergonomic clamp to hold the microphone securely in place on your instrument and with a mini-XLR/XLR devolver adaptor (48V phantom power required for wired use).

"We were won over by the versatility of capsule 21, both on brass instruments and percussion, the reserve before distortion is incredible, the warmth and roundness of the bass really appealed to us and... our musicians loved it!"

"On stage, I use the SB21 mic as well as the HF version. The clip that goes on the bell is really great, I haven't found anything better on the market, and the suspension where the cell is installedis top-notch, because there's no noise from pistons or anything else that could pollute the remarkably fine sound."

Patrick Bourgoin

"Prodipe and its Research and Development team set themselves a goal: to create a proximity microphone that could be attached to instruments such as the saxophone, trumpet, trombone, etc., as well as various percussion instruments, at a price that was finally affordable.

The result: exemplary sound finesse with a cell that can handle 140dB!

With Ludovic Lanen, we took a particular interest in creating a functional and irreproachable attachment. I'm delighted to have been part of this adventure, knowing that Prodipe is systematically moving forward, with the know-how and, above all, the resources to match its ambitions...

Evidence waits for no time. And it's not over yet!

From now on, my mic is Prodipe!

The price! Four times cheaper than the best of its kind!

So why pay more?

Michel Gaucher

"I now use the SB21 microphone as well as the HF version, which has a very reliable clip on bell that can be adjusted as required. As for the sound, it's worthy of the best studio microphones, and the suspension prevents any impact noise as well as the mechanical noise of the saxophone keys."

An electret cell capable of handling 140dB

In a microphone, the part that cannot suffer from any mediocrity is the cell. Prodipe has developed, in France, an electret cell capable of handling 140dB, which will capture all the dynamics and nuances of your playing.
Its high linearity will perfectly respect the timbre and sonority of your instrument.

Can also be used in a UHF version: connect to the Prodipe UHF DSP B210 Solo or UHF DSP B210 Duo systems (specially adapted to the impedance of the 21 Lanen cartridge).

Particular attention has been paid to securing the microphone to the instrument

The combination of a fixed stem and a flexible part offers a wide range of adjustment and greater stability, the suspension provides good isolation of key or piston noise, and the clamp has been specially adapted to the shape of the horn.

The 'research and development' was carried out in France, in active collaboration with the indispensable French sound engineer Ludovic Lanen

"In developing the cell, we drew inspiration from the best in the field, and worked in constant comparison with DPA microphones. This microphone is offered at an affordable price... Once again, don't be fooled by the price: we're pursuing our objective of making professional quality accessible to everyone. With this new range, Prodipe continues to make its mark on professional audio."
